Questions
Common questions
Do I need a heat pump to use the program?
No. 0% financing covers every service in the program, from furnaces and air conditioners to water heaters. The rebate applies to heat pumps.
Does the check cost anything?
No. The check, the advisor call and the in-home sizing are free, with no obligation to go ahead.
Why is the rebate lower on natural gas?
The provincial program pays the most to homes moving off electric baseboard, oil or propane. Gas homes still qualify for up to $2,000.
Will a heat pump keep my home warm in January?
Cold-climate heat pumps are rated to keep heating well below freezing. Your technician sizes the system for your home, and many homes keep a backup heat source.
Who files the rebate paperwork?
The installer files the rebate forms for you as part of the install.
